Richland Chambers Reservoir

 

This Y-shaped lake was built for municipal water supply but also provides excellent recreational boating, water skiing, fishing and hunting. A 44,752-acre reservoir impounding waters of Chambers and Richland Creeks for Tarrant County (Fort Worth) water supply and outdoor recreation. Located about an hour south of Dallas off of Interstate 45, it was built in the late 1980s. Richland Chambers is Texas 3rd Largest Inland Lake.

 

Richland Chambers is referred to as Texas newest coast with an excellent location between Dallas and Houston. Unlike other lakes near Dallas, Richland Chambers remains relatively unknown. Current visitors will find public boat ramps, marinas, lakeside cabins and campgrounds. It is a great all around Texas lake with deep water for sailing, open water for skiers, and excellent fishing.

 

Richland Chambers is just minutes from Cedar Creek lake, Athens, Corsicana, Eureka, Powell, Kerens, Cayuga, and Fairfield.
